FAUNA MARIN System 簡介

最近幾次 ICP 都在 FM 測, 才注意到這個牌子, 剛好得知不少跟我有交流的魚友轉到 FM 系統,
讓我產生了好奇感, 所以決定來了解一下 FM系統~

ps: 可能是我太少去水族店晃了, 即使去了也鮮少跟店員聊天, 所以完全不知道流行趨勢走到哪裡~


從原廠的文件中, 大致得到一些資訊: (若有錯歡迎大家糾正呀!)
參考資料:

FM 主要系統是 Fauna Marin US STYLE PRIMEFRAG SYSTEM ,
若是要以養SPS為主的, 會再進階到 ZEO LIGHT SYSTEM


我會分別列出這兩個系統必要的項目, 開缸流程, 以及 Balling Light System(這兩個系統都要用到的元素補充方式)


A. Fauna Marin US STYLE PRIMEFRAG SYSTEM
美式風格的系統?!
其實我分不出甚麼是美式,德式, 波蘭式?!
水草造景我知道有 天野風格(日式) 和 荷蘭式~~~

1.) Aquarium - Selecting the proper skimmer and flow pumps (選擇合適的 去蛋白機 與 造浪)
i) 主馬循環流量 > 5倍魚缸水量
ii) 建議在去蛋白機進氣口使用臭氧 (5mg/100L)
iii) 造浪水循環量 30~50倍水量


2.) Lighting – Selecting the proper lighting for your coral (選擇合適的燈)
i) 強調需要有 UV
ii) Example of light mixing and illumination: (這光譜設定蠻接近我目前的設定, 雖然我不是用他推薦的神燈)
•Blue, Cyan, Royal Blue channels: Set to100%
•UV Channel: Begin at 20%, then slowly increase to 80% max over the course of 4 –6 weeks
•White-Blue channel: Set to 20%
•Daylight channel: Turn on at 30% and Red channel at 2 – 5% for 5 hours a day
•Total duration of lighting: 12 hours daily, including dimming times

3.) Rockscaping – Selecting quality rocks for reef construction
不建議使用人工製的石頭或底砂

Note: 特別提到有很多案例在 1~1.5年發生問題 (Old Tank Syndrome 老缸症候群)
發生問題原因多為: 使用不穩定系統 / 過度添加 / 使用不好的石頭與底砂 (好菌無法穩定地在缸中建立)


4.) Carbon and Phosphate absorbers – Selecting the right media
i) 將 活性碳 及 PO4吸附劑 放置流量 200~400 lph 的反應器中 (4~6周更換一次)
ii) 反應器放置在去蛋白機之前
iii) 過濾濾材順序: 活性碳 -> PO4吸附劑 -> 沸石(這是在 Zeo Light System才使用)
iv) 不建議使用其他任何濾材, 包括藻桶(屏)


5.) Balling Light System – Supplying the aquarium with Carbonate, Calcium, Magnesium, and Trace elements.
i) Balling Light System 會另外分一章節解釋
ii) 換水 每四個禮拜 25%


6.) Bacteria – Supplying bacteria with Fauna Marin BACTO BALLS
i) 使用活石開缸, 建議一開始不需要加菌! (3個月後再添加)
ii) start the BACTO BALLS dosage with 1 Ball / 100 liters for the first 2 weeks

=> 是我第一個看到一開始不用加菌的系統!


7.) Supplemental Dosages – Dosing Trace elements, Food, and Extras
i) ORGANIC
Micro and nutrient solution with organic fluorescence boosters
Starting dose: 1 ml / 100 liter / every 7 days
Long term dose: 2 – 3 ml / 100 liter / every 7 days

ii) AMIN (胺基酸)
Vitamins, Amino acids, and food for corals with fluorescence boosters
Dosage: 0,5 ml / 100 liter / every week

iii) ORAL VITALITY
Dosage: 1 drop / 100 liter / day

iv) CORAL SPRINT (珊瑚粉狀食物)


8.) Maintaining Water Quality – Test services from FAUNA MARIN ICP LAB
=> 維持元素比例, ICP 很重要～


需要執行的細項:

1. Basic supply via the Balling Light System
TRACE 1 / 2 / 3 dosage changes:
•TRACE 1 Dosing canister 1 (Calcium) Add 50 ml
•TRACE 2 Dosing canister 1 (Calcium) Add 40 ml
•TRACE 3 Dosing canister 3 (Carbonate) Add 25 ml

Recommended water parameters: (非超低NP系統)
Salinity: 34 – 35 psu
Calcium: 420 – 440 mg / Liter
Magnesium: 1250 mg / Liter
Potassium: 400 – 420 mg / Liter
Alkalinity: 7,5 – 8,5 dkH
Nitrate: 5 – 10 mg / Liter
Phosphate: 0,05 – 0,1 mg / Liter

2. Dosages
ORGANIC (Coral Booster): 1,0 ml per 100 liters per week
AMIN (Fluorescent booster): 0,5 ml per 100 liters per week
CORAL SPRINT: ½ dosing spoon per 100 liters every 2 days

3. Filtering
CARB L:
30 ml per 100 liters ➞ →max 200 flow rate ➞ Change every 4~6 weeks

PHOS 0,04 :
50 –100 ml per 100 liters ➞ max 200 lph flow rate ➞ Change as needed

Correctly sized protein skimmer with light ozone in-use
Max: 5–10 mg/h per 500 liters run continuously

4. Water Changes
每周換水 5~10%
若是使用細砂, 可以在換水時置換 3~5%


5. Regular testing via the FAUNA MARIN ICP LAB

B. ZEO LIGHT SYSTEM

大致來說比 US STYLE PRIMEFRAG SYSTEM 多了 沸石 / 微量元素 / K / 更多營養品

•ZEO LIGHT: (沸石)
Zeolite mixture for nutrient reduction
用量: 100g / 100L水量
每四周更換 75%
Flush/clean the media every 1-2 days.


•CORAL VITALITY: (提供珊瑚共生菌營養)
Nutrient control and coral nutrition

DOSAGE: 1 drop/100 liters /daily


•CARB L: (活性碳)
Activated charcoal during use
250 - 300 grams (approx. 0.5 - 0.6 liters)/ 1000 liters
反應器流量不超過 200 lph
3~4禮拜更換一次
活性碳需要在沸石更換後14天內更換


•COLOR ELEMENTS: (3瓶微量元素)
Trace Elements for color optimization
紅紫: 氟、三碘絡合物、溴、鉀
藍綠:有機和無機礦物質及元素的新型微量元素混合物
藍紫: 硼、鉬、鉻、鋰、硒、釩、銅、鋅

When dosing with CORAL VITALITY, we recommend starting with a dosage of 0.5 ml / 100 liters / week. Dose every 3 - 4 days in 2-day intervals.
Increase the dosage every month by 0.5 ml until the desired result is reached. The normal dose is 1 - 2.5 ml / 100 liters, every 4 days.
The maximum dosage is 3 ml / 100 liters, every 4 days.



•MIN S: (主力珊瑚食物)
Nutrient supply and stabilization
Start dosage: 0.25 - 0.5 ml / 500 liters
Dosage: 1- 3 ml / 1000 liters every 2 days


•ELEMENTALS K: Highly concentrated potassium solution
Potassium is extremely important for the growth and colouring of corals. It also regulates the transport of trace elements into the corals and should therefore not be too low.
Keep the potassium value stable at 390 - 420 mg/liter
廠商認為鉀消耗與其他元素消耗比較沒有連動關係, 所以需要單獨監測控制.


•CORAL BALANCE: (粉狀 或 液體)
Water treatment
食物, 調節營養 及 代謝加速
1 dosing spoon / 200 liters, every 4 days.
For aquariums older than 2 years or with PO4 values above 0.15 mg/l, we recommend dosing 50% of the recommended amount.
1 dosing spoon is equivalent to ½ teaspoon per 100 liters

Important! For new aquariums, start CORAL BALANCE ONLY after the aquarium has been running for at least 3 months.


•CORAL SPRINT:
SPS and LPS food (optional)
½ measuring spoon / 500 liters, every 2 days.


•AMIN (胺基酸)
Start with the dosage 4 - 6 weeks after the start of the aquarium with 25 % of the indicated dosage.


•Bacteria
對有活石的珊瑚缸非必要!

BACTO BALLS
Every two weeks, add two Bacto Balls per 100 liters

Bacto Blend
嗜鹽菌和光養菌(活菌)

C. 開缸流程:

Instructions for starting an aquarium with the FAUNA MARIN System:
Day 1
•Assemble and install aquarium and equipment
•Position decorations, substructures, live rock or reef branches in aquarium
•Add substrate of choice (normal coral sand, grain size 1 – 3 mm)
•Add RO or tap water (Tap water – depends on quality of water)
•Power ON the return pumps and flow pumps
•Check for any leaks in the system

=> 一開始目的是 試擺造景, 測漏 , 試用器材是否有問題,
但有個很大的問題, 若是放了活石, 結果又用 RO水, 那活石不就完蛋?!


Day 3
•Replace all water and fill with RO water
•Add sea salt mix and measure salinity. Use quality salt like Fauna Marin PROFESSIONAL SEA SALT and adjust value to 25°C and 34 – 35 salinity
•Install zeolite filters
•Power ON other equipment such as skimmer, reactors, etc.

=> 這期間才是正式開始養水


Day 5
•Continue adding decorations with live rock (always pre-order)
•Adjust salinity, alkalinity, and temperature
•Start lighting schedule (10 hours / day)
•Begin initial dosing of BACTO BALLS with 1 ball per 100 liters (26 gal) every 2 weeks when not using live rock!


Day 7
•Test water parameters: Calcium, Magnesium, Nitrite, Nitrate, Phosphate
•Nitrite level will naturally increase at this time due to tank cycling

=> 測NO2, NO3, PO4 可以了解養水階段到哪, 不過還沒完成養水流程, 就開始測 Ca Mg 了~


Day 10
•Check Nitrite level. The value should only be up to 0.1mg / l
•Start dosing Balling Light or install Calcium Reactor, then adjust Calcium and Alkalinity level
•Add Fauna Marin CARB L media to carbon filter

=> 養完水就要開始補充元素 及 放活性碳


Day 11
•Begin stocking!
•First add hermit crabs, snails, and urchins. Algae eaters such as blennies can be added a few days later

=> 最歡樂的時刻, 開始緩慢增加生物~

A few days after adding your first fishes, you can begin adding your first batch of coral.
Increase stocking level every 7 – 10 days.

D. BALLING LIGHT-SYSTEM

需要調配三桶補充液

1. Calcium Mix (5公升容器)
Dissolve 2 kg of BALLING LIGHT CALCIUM MIX in 3 Liters of RO water.
25 ml BALLING LIGHT TRACE 1
25 ml BALLING LIGHT TRACE 2

2. Magnesium Mix (5公升容器)
Dissolve 2 kg of BALLING LIGHT MAGNESIUM MIX in 3 Liters of RO water.

3. CARBONATE (5公升容器)
Dissolve 500 g of BALLING LIGHT CARBONATE MIX in 3 Liters of RO water.
25 ml Balling Light Trace 3.

添加比例:
Dosing of the working solution gives approx:
i) ALK/KH: 10 ml / 100 Liter + 0,5 dkH / Liter
ii) CA: 10 ml / 100 Liter + 11 mg / Liter
iii) MG: 10 ml / 100 Liter + 5 mg / Liter
